Waiting on God makes you expectant.
– Thomas Rivera
When a woman is “expecting,” it means that life is in her body and is about to come forth.
This life is intricately formed and clearly shaped. It is not stagnant and sedentary; it is growing, moving, and active. It has a purpose and will influence others. And it will come forth.
So it is with waiting on God.
Waiting on God is an act of creation that produces life within you – life that must, at its appointed time, be birthed.
“But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.”
– Micah 7:7 (NASB)
“My righteousness is near, My salvation has gone forth, And My arms will judge the peoples; The coastlands will wait for Me, And for My arm they will wait expectantly.”
– Isaiah 51:5 (NASB)
“Therefore, return to your God. Observe kindness and justice, and wait for your God continually.”
– Hosea 12:6 (NASB)
